"This is a real nice place Sue," Rayna one of Sue's newest colleagues at the Ultima Force said. "We used to have beaches on our Planetoid but not like this."

"Thanks Ray," Sue said. "Has Foina ever been on a beach before?"

"Not really, I was always too busy with rangering to really spend time with her before the planetoid was destroyed. After that it was all we could do to track Lord Wieskoph in the hope of rescuing Ronak," Rayna said.

Foina of course was over by the two rangers as Leah Nabinger was showing the three year old Centaurian girl how to build a sand castle. Farther over Stephanie, Wang Chung, and their friends Jody Stanton, Sarah Brody, Miya, Kayla, and Marla were sunning themselves. Of the group only Sue, Rayna, and Stephanie had any sort of powers.

"You know we have really lucked out and Lord Wieskoph hasn’t caused a lot to trouble lately," Rayna said.

"He is probably trying to figure out how to escape from his own jail," Sue said. "Karone locked him in one of his own cells when she lead the escape that liberated Ronak. How have Ronak and Foina been getting along?"

"They’ve been getting along good after Ron got over the shock of finding out that he had been a father for the last three years without knowing it. God she will be four before you know it. Sue, I really hope I get a chance to actually meet your grandfather some time. After all he is a legend even where we were stationed," Rayna said. "How hard was it for you all to help Karone coordinate the escape from Lord Wieskoph’s ship."

"To be honest Ray we were trying to figure out how to reach his ship so we could rescue her when she showed up with Ron," Sue said. "We even had Karone’s brother and Boyfriend helping us out with that one."

"Who was working on it?" Rayna wondered.

"Let see myself, Chief Corbett, Andros and Zhane, Stephanie, and some of the senior level people from Planetary Defense," Sue said.

"I see and yet it was over before you could do anything," Rayna said.

"That it was Ray," Sue said as she saw an object land in the water a long ways off. Because of distance she didn’t try to call it in to either Sven the acting Planetary Defense Head or to her boss at Colonial Security. She didn’t even try to contact her own base.

"Sue, something looks to be up," Stephanie said.

"I know Stephanie but I doubt there is anything we can do about it," Sue said.

Everyone continued as they had been when a few hours later Foina started to run for the water. Rayna got worried since it was almost high tide.

"Foina don’t run for the water sweetie," Rayna called when suddenly a figure started to emerge upright from the water. The whole Figure looked like some kind of Diver complete to flippers on its feet. The Mysterious Diver grabbed Fiona as the toddler continued her run. Rayna got real scared.

"Centaurian Ranger Extreme," Rayna called as Sue put one arm out.

"Ray, I don’t think the diver is trying to hurt Foina. In fact I think he grabbed her in order to save her," Sue said.

"Very perceptive Sue," The Diver said. "That’s why you didn’t morph isn’t it."

"That it isn’t," Sue said.

"Armor down," the diver said. The armor then flew off with great force revealing a figure in a Blue and Green Shirt, Cream colored pants and a silver, green, and Black colored helmet with the Face concealed.

"Ray, meet my grandfather," Sue said.

"So you are the legendary Plastica huh," Rayna said after she demorphed.

"Yes I am," he replied.

"I am Rayna formerly of the Centaurian Rangers now a member of the Ultima Force."

"You must have joined up after I left on my last mission," Plastica said.

"Yes I did," Rayna said.

"This little one yours?" He asked.

"Yes she is," Rayna said.

"Why did you approach through the water like that?" Sue wondered.

"Oh that it’s funny really I was using one of my famous portals only the portal generator must have been tired after I used it so many times that it opened way high up and I was falling so rapidly I didn’t have time to power up and change form into eagle so after I hit the water I called for Aquatic Mode Battle Armor and traveled under the water along the bottom. I didn’t expect to find you all here when I reached land," Plastica said.

"Grandpa, why didn’t you just call for Flight Pack Mode Battle Armor before you fell in the water?" Sue asked.

"No time," Plastica said. "That’s how fast I was falling." "I’m surprised the Defense Force didn’t try to locate me."

"I saw you fall but it was so far off that I couldn’t tell it was human," Sue said. "Unlike you I don’t have all these fancy sensors."

"Touche Sue," Plastica said. "I suppose I should see how much damage Sven has done to Planetary Defense in my absence."

"OK I’ll see you at your house later," Sue said. Shortly after Plastica left Sue headed for her bike and roared off to the Gutheim residence.

"Sue, you act as if Lord Wieskoph is back attacking the colony," Colleen said.

"It’s not that Colleen but something different much different," Sue said. "A bunch of us were along the beach a couple miles from here when he showed up."

"Who is he Lord Wieskoph?" Colleen wondered.

"No, there has been no action from Lord Wieskoph since Karone and Ron escaped. A different he. I didn’t tell him about your condition," Sue said.

"I’m still lost, Sue," Colleen said.

By this time Robert was pulling up to the Planetary Defense compound.

"Good day sir, might I see some ID?" the gate guard asked.

"Soldier, can’t you tell the Boss’s car when you see it?" Robert asked.

"Look buddy I’ve only been with Planetary Defense for three months don’t give me lip," the guard said.

"Soldier, either you open the gate or you will be guarding a convoy of dog poop out of a kennel on Mirinoi’s North Pole," Robert commanded.

At that moment Sven happened to be walking by when he heard the exchange. He then walked over.

"Commander Gutheim sir," Sven said throwing a salute.

"Sven, how long have I been gone?" Robert asked.

"Too Long Commander Gutheim Sir," Sven said. "Oh man am I glad to see you back sir." Sven then went a little unprofessional and hugged his commanding officer.

"How are Maya and the little one doing?" Robert asked.

"They are both doing good sir," Sven responded. "Maya at least once a week asks if you have returned from your journey."

"Sirs, would someone tell me what is going on here?" the gate guard asked.

"Private Goodley, this fine officer here is Commander Robert Gutheim the Head of Mirinoi Planetary Defense. He was on extended leave when you joined up," Sven explained.

The Private then opened the gate. Robert then got back in his car and headed for his office.

"Attention on Deck," the sergeant in the outer office barked when Robert walked in.

"As you were everyone," Robert said. Right then the phone rang.

"Commander Gutheim’s Office," the sergeant said. "Why yes ma’am in fact he just walked in."

the sergeant then put the line on hold. "Your wife sir on line 1."

"Thanks sergeant, when Private Goodley comes in from his post at the gate have him report to me," Robert ordered. He then went into his office and picked up the phone hitting the button for line one. "Yes Colleen."

"Sue told me you were back. Not directly but I managed to figure out what she was talking about after a few minutes. I figured you would head for your office first," Colleen said.

"Hopefully things are under control," Robert said. "I should only be a couple hours hopefully."

Right at the point that he had figured the sergeant reported that Private Goodley was outside.

"Send him in sergeant," Robert said.

"Private Dwayne Goodley reporting to the Commanding Officer as Ordered sir."

"Private is your motor operators license up to date?" Robert inquired.

"Yes Sir," the private responded.

"Good here are my keys," Robert said.

"Your keys Commander," the private said.

"Yes, I feel the best way for a nice soldier like you to learn to recognize my car is to drive it around with me in the back seat for a few months," Robert said.

"But my duty in the Gatehouse," Private Goodley said.

"You forget I’m the Commander If I feel that Private Dwayne Goodley could make a better contribution as a motor operator then as a gate guard then there is nothing the G-1 can do about it," Robert said.

They then headed off with the Private eventually pulling into the house where Robert lived. Colleen walked out as his car pulled up.

"About time you returned from the high seas Sailor," Colleen joked.

"I guess I have been gone a long time since you were a lot slimmer when I left," Robert joked.

"Come on I’m not that bad," Colleen said.

"I know Colleen but the thought of you carrying inside you what my first wife was never able to carry is so exciting that I’m having a hard time finding the right words," Robert said.

"OK who told you?" Colleen asked.

"Nobody I sensed it on my own," Robert replied. "You forget how much extra perception my powers give me. "

"Yet because of your powers I was left on my own for all these months," Colleen said.

"Colleen, if anything my powers are the only reason we ever even met. After all if it wasn’t for our powers Jessica would never have died in that battle," Robert said.

"I know. One thing that not having powers would have changed was Jessica’s sterility at least according to your Demona buddy," Colleen said. "IT was because of her powers and where they were centered that she was sterile."

"I guess it’s true Great Power does require great responsibility," Robert said.

A while later Rayna, Ronak, and Quintio stopped by. Robert was checking the area with his sensors but was disguising that fact with a pair of binoculars. Sue was also on hand.

"Ready for the Barbecue Stephanie’s friends should be here soon," Sue commented.

"You bet," Rayna said as she approached Robert. "I’m not sure we’ve met."

"We have but you were morphed and I was powered up," Robert said.

"This is my husband Ron and our old friend Quentin," Rayna said. "My friends usually just call me Ray."

"Yeah mine is actually Ronak and Quentin’s is actually Quintio," Ron said.

"Are all three of you Centaurian like Ray is?" Robert asked.

"Yes we are," Ron said. "Ray tells me how you saved our daughter from drowning

"Ron, that was simply being in the right place at the right time," Robert said.

Right then Karone walked out.

"Commander, transmission coming in from Earth for you It’s GSA Headquarters," She called out.

"Code 47?" Robert inquired.

"No," Karone said.

HE then walked in.

"Gutheim here," Robert said.

"Captain, you have a few months to get ready but you familiar with the plans to colonize the 9^th Planet in the Capsilon System?" the caller asked.

"Yes sir," Robert said. "Why do you ask."

"Because Captain you will lead the preliminary Survey team. WE are getting together a Company of troops under Lt. Oswell Collington to guard your team. You can bring any science types you can as well as any additional troops including Rangers," the caller said.

"I think I know who I want on the science team but I don’t think I can spare any rangers for this job. I can spare one Powereon though. Will I be allowed to bring my family along just in case I decide to remain on Capsilon IX?"

"Yes you will Captain," The caller said. "In fact we half expected you would make that decision."

"Who wouldn’t want their family along on a Planetary Exploration mission?" Robert asked.

"That’s a good question Captain. I’m not sure I can answer that one."
