The Megazord Rises

The Angel Grove Youth Center for the longest time the unofficial lounge area for the Power Rangers. The Gym and Juice Bar still stood but in addition to the old There is a full size Simudeck in a room off the main room. Also behind the bar is a synthetron. It’s a quiet day with only Brad, Pilar, and Heather on hand.

"SO Guys any clue on who the new rangers are?" the Proprietor asked.

"No clue what so ever Wally," Brad said.

"How can you be sure the rangers really exist?" Heather asked.

"Well they did help defend the Sudan the other day," Wally said.

"That means little after all No Rangers ever showed up in Napoli where I grew up," Heather said.

"I’m sure you will manage Heather," Wally said as an African American girl walked in and sat down with the others. "Angel Grove has had Rangers defending it for longer then I’ve been alive."

"Danielle, we’re kind of having a private conversation," Heather told one of her closest friends of the few she had.

"Don’t mind me then just keep on talking," Danielle said.

"We sort of need privacy for it," Brad hinted.

"Come on Danielle we’ll chat up at the bar," Wally said.

"OK," She said.

The two then headed off.

"You think Taxicat will send monsters after us?" Pilar wondered.

"Probably. If that happens we’ll probably need zords of some type," Brad said.

"We better remember to ask either Gamma or Zolkar about them," Pilar said.

"You know it’s weird how I have this big job to do and no idea about anything related to our job," Heather said. "I guess to know the whole scoop you have to have lived here for a while. Like I have no idea what a zord is."

"It tends to vary depending on the type of powers. From what Billy told me his cousin’s team uses various types of military hardware. In Janet’s case a Defender Chopper was used as the model for her zord," Pilar explained.

"I see," Heather said.

At that moment a faint buzz was heard and the button with the microphone and speaker on it on their synchronizers was flashing. The three rangers then headed for the corner.

"Yeah Zolkar," Brad said after they checked to make sure the coast was clear.

"Report to the Chamber at once," Zolkar said.

"You got it Zolkar," Brad said. They then raised their wrists up and hit the button of a person moving at high speed on the synchronizers. This button caused them to teleport right to the chamber. Danielle happened to peak their way as they headed off.

"Whoa what’s up with that strange effect?" Danielle wondered.

Just as Brad, Pilar, and Heather arrived Billy and Sven the other two rangers were also on hand. Gamma while standing on a small stool was working on something.

"It’s no fun being little," she grumbled since her creators had included an emotion grid.

Zolkar then walked in from an inner chamber.

"So what’s the word Zolks?" Sven asked earning him a dirty look.

"There is a whole bunch of Kitatons in this section of Angel Grove," Zolkar said showing a map on a screen.

"You think Taxicat is up to something?" Billy wondered.

"You can bet he is," Zolkar said. "So far Rendab hasn’t made his own move to take charge of things for Taxicat.

"Something tells me we should get out there and do what we are being paid to do," Brad said. "Geo Five Power Up."

"Red Geo Power."

Brad stood by as the Red Essence from his synchronizer came up and enveloped him before fading away to reveal Red colored armor along his chest arms and legs, White Boots, and gloves with blue waves on them and His helmet was almost Pure Red accept for Smoky Brown Screen over his eyes and the silvery plate over his nose and mouth. On his left shoulder was a picture of the Earth as it would look from space.

"Pink Geo Power," Heather barked as the Pink Essence covered her before fading to reveal her similar but Pink Colored Armor.

"Yellow Geo Power," Pilar growled as Her armor was formed by the Yellow Essence in her synchronizer.

"Blue Geo Power," Billy Howled as he was being encased in the blue essence within his synchronizer. The Only Difference was his boots and Gloves were more a grayish tone instead of white.

"Green Geo Power," Sven cackled as he was being coated and enarmored in a Green Essence. Like Billy his boots and gloves were of a grayish tone.

The Rangers then Teleported out by the time they arrived Rendab was on hand.

"Oh great Rendab’s here," Heather said.

"That I am Ranger. Here to destroy you," Rendab commented.

"Yeah Right Rendab, You and what army?" Sven asked.

"Why this army," Rendab said as the Kitatons converged on the spot.

"Ok Rangers spread out and do your best," Brad ordered.

"Who died and made him Zolkar?" Heather asked.

"Traditionally with Rangers White or in their absence Red Rangers are the leaders," Billy explained.

"Oh," Heather said.

The Rangers then started to attack the Kitatons. Brad of course took the time to take Rendab on personally using some slight hand to hand combat since this evil Kitty was well trained.

"Rangers, how rude of me allow me to introduce a friend of mine Tigreanna," Rendab said as a really evil Kitty showed up That has Tiger Stripes all over. "Oh and I better warn you she just had a litter not too long ago so she is in a very nasty mood."

"Oh man she is tough?" Pilar said after a few rounds with the Villainous Kitty.

"You better believe it Rangers," Tigreanna said.

"Ranger’s we better regroup and talk to Zolkar," Brad said.

The Rangers then teleported out.

"Zolkar, we are getting pounded out there," Heather said.

"I know Rangers. One thing you have to watch out for is that Taxicat doesn’t decide to make Tigreanna or any of his more dispensable Henchcats grow," Zolkar said.

"What would we do if that happens?" Heather wondered.

"I’m working on that Heather," Gamma said from her position near one of the consoles. AS always she was standing on a stool. "Zolkar next base of operations we utilize could we get shorter consoles."

"What exactly as you doing Gamma?" Heather wondered as she walked over.

"Activating the Geo Zords Heather. If Taxicat decides to enlarge any of his minions you will need them.

"I have no idea what you are talking about Gamma," Heather said.

"Another term for zords is Battle Mecha basically they are huge machines which can be utilized either separate or combined using a type of Gestalt formation known as a Megazord. Here is an idea for instance Heather of what your zord looks like," Gamma said as a picture of a hydrofoil came on the small viewscreen that was part of the console.

"OK now I understand," Heather said. "What do the other zords look like."

"Give me a second Heather and I will transfer the feed over to the Main Screen.," Gamma said.

Fairly soon a Picture of five vehicles appeared. One was a reddish Motorcycle, there was a Big Blue zord which reminded Ranger Historians of the Mountain Blaster Turbo Zord, a Green Dunebuggy, a kind of Yellowish hovercraft and the Hydrofoil. The pictures then separated and moved to the Sides and a picture of the Geo Megazord moved into the center. Lines moved into position to show where each zord would be. The Two watercraft were the legs, the 4x4 was the lower chest and what looked like forearms. The Dunebuggy appeared to complete the chest and arms. The Motorcycle with a few alterations appeared to be the head. Photos of the rangers then appeared next to their respective zords. The alarm then went off.

"Looks like the Tigress is back and boy is she mad and Big," Sven Commented.

"Looks like it’s time to put the Geo Megazord to work," Brad said.

The Rangers then teleported out to their zords. The watercraft were located in a nearby cove.

"Heather, your zord has a special trailer that folds down from the hull when you have to go on land," Gamma reported over the com system.

"Thanks Gamma," Heather said. "Switching to trailer."

They soon arrived at the battlefield.

"Time for Megazord Mode," Brad said.

The Rangers then removed a small section of their synchronizers from their wrists and put it in the spots on their control panels. Fairly soon they were in the Megazord cockpit. A small screen showed Gamma’s face.

"Rangers, make note when using the Megazord a constant channel is opened with Zolkar and I."

"Thanks for the warning kid," Sven said.

Gamma attempted a raspberry except without salivary glands it didn’t seem authentic enough," During all that The other rangers had been busy controlling the Megazord.

"Powering up the Geo Sword Brad," Sven said.

The Megazord then sent the Fearsome Kitty around the city a few times doing everything possible to avoid Residential areas along with the more Prominent commercial and Industrial areas. Instead they stuck to some real run down areas full of condemned and nearly condemned buildings.

"This thing is great," Heather commented at one point.

"It needs to be when you consider the conditions you will be fighting under," Zolkar said. "You in a fairly open area right now."

"Well kind of Why do you ask Zolkar?" Brad wondered as he looked out at the now Abandoned Angel Grove Veterans Stadium which hadn’t seen any action since before the rangers were born.

"Because it’s time to use the Geo Quake the Megazord’s finishing move," Zolkar said.

Right after that the rangers went into action causing a huge quake which took down the Monster but also caused a cave in at the abandoned stadium.

"Help Help," a voice called out.

"Brad, I think somebody might be trapped inside the old stadium," Pilar said.

"We better look into it," Brad said. "Remain morphed for now."

They quickly searched the stadium eventually finding two young girls one about seven maybe eight with Caucasian features the other African American and a little younger.

"Thanks guys," the Caucasian girl said.

Brad had a sign of recognition of the Caucasian girl. She was the daughter of some friends of his family. Soon as the two young girls were moved to safer quarters Heather went off and demorphed so she could look them over.

"They don’t look to be injured too badly but I think we should get them to a hospital anyway just in case," Heather said.

As they were headed off after insuring neither victim had spinal damage Pilar walked over to Brad.

"Even through our helmets I could tell you were concerned about those two kids," Pilar said.

"I was for one thing we are in part to blame for their getting hurt. Also one of the girls the White one is the daughter of some friends of my family," Brad said.

A short time later the Rangers got together at the youth center. Heather was the last to arrive and when she showed up Gamma was with her.

"I made a very discrete inquiry at the hospital about those two girls and they both lucked out only minor injuries Patricia has two slightly cracked ribs and a broken radius and Tanya a broken femur and sprained patella and tibia. The doctor had to explain that the radius is a bone in the lower part of the arm and the other three bones are in the leg. They should both be out later today or tomorrow," Heather explained.

"Heather how will you explain Gamma being here?" Pilar wondered.

"She will be covering as my little sister."
